Word on the Street: Viking RCMP report – Impaired driver heading south

  Police received a complaint May 30 of a break and enter to a garage in Viking.  The complainant advised she found both doors open and the lock missing, however nothing else appeared to be taken. Police have no suspects at this time.

    That evening, police received two calls regarding a suspicious vehicle driving around the Bruce area. 

    The callers advised there were two males
in a silver Chev pickup driving slowly past their property several times.

    Police were unable to locate the vehicle in question.

    On June 1, police received a complaint of a possible impaired driver travelling from Viking to Sedgewick. 

    The vehicle description was also passed on to Killam RCMP however police were unable to locate it.

    That afternoon, police received a complaint regarding the welfare of two small children at a residence in Viking. Police contacted Children’s Services and they will be following up with the family.
