Word on the Street: Viking RCMP report

On March 10, police received a complaint of a suspicious male at a rural location west of Viking.

    The caller advised the male was parked on the side of the road and was outside of the vehicle and seemed to be talking to himself.

    A patrol was made and the individual in question was located.  Police spoke with the male and found no reason to detain him so he was allowed to carry on his way.

    On March 13, police received a complaint of an assault that had just occurred. Police completed their investigation and determined no assault had taken place. Children and Family Services were contacted and will be following up with the involved parties.

    On March 17, police received a complaint of harassing phone calls.  Police were able to determine where the calls were originating from and spoke to the suspect and warned him about his actions.
