Word on the Street: officers respond to semi blocking intersection

On April 17, police were dispatched to a semi tractor unit blocking traffic at the intersection of Highway 14 and Range Road 130.

The driver was attempting to make the corner when the rear wheels dropped off into the ditch. Police provided traffic control while the vehicle was removed from the scene. There were no injuries and no damage to the semi.

That same day, police also were advised of a dispute between neighbours that had taken place earlier in the week. The situation is being monitored for any further disturbances.

Also this date, police provided advice to a parent regarding a family court order that she had concerns with.

On April 18, police received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle at a rural property north of Viking.

Police were able to determine that it was beekeepers setting out their hives on the property and nothing criminal had occurred.
