Word on the Street: Viking RCMP report

During the early morning hours on Feb. 22, a resident of Viking called police as she could hear noises and believed someone was up on her roof.

Police attended and did not locate anyone on the roof. It is believed that the noise was coming from trees brushing against her home.

Later that day, police received a report of an abandoned vehicle left in the middle of a parking lot at a business in Viking.

Police contacted the registered owner who advised the vehicle had broken down and would be removed shortly.

That same day, a male attended the detachment to report he was receiving threatening text messages from an unknown person. This matter is currently under investigation.
