Viking School Jr. High regional badminton winners
Viking School had 10 badminton athletes participate in the BRSD Jr. High Regionals competition held on Thursday, April 26 in Camrose.
The singles competition took place at the Camrose Field House. Jasmine Kaur defeated every opponent and won Gold in the Grade 7 Girls’ Singles division. Prabhleen Kaur competed in the Grade 8 Singles level and earned a Gold medal as she went undefeated as well.
École Charlie Killam School hosted some of the doubles action. Dylan Haydon and Bailey Haeberle placed fourth in the Mixed Doubles for Grade 9.
Kevin Mizera and Logyn Littau competed in the Mixed Doubles for Grade 8 and Caley Haydon and Halle Labreche represented Viking School as the Grade 7 Girls Doubles team.
Joshua Arndt and Garrett Russnak were competitors in the Boys Doubles for Grade 8 at the École Camrose Composite High School.
This concludes the junior high badminton season. Thanks to all athletes who played badminton and a big thank you to Miranda Corrigan for coaching the junior players this year.
