VIKING IN THE STREETS TAKES OFF

Although Vikings in the Streets is an early summer affair, the event came back into the limelight this weekend as live auction winners Roy Ellingson and Joan Van Buul collected their prize of a plane ride for four into Edmonton.

The afternoon included a plane ride into Edmonton’s Municipal Airport from where the passengers were taken for a buffet at the Ramada Inn before returning to the City Centre Airport and heading back to Viking.

The unique auction flight was just one of many items visitors to Vikings in the Streets were able to bid on.

Last summer was the second year for the  popular festival which celebrates Viking and its rich heritage.
