Valentine’s Day Sweetheart winner selected

Rose Stewart was the fortunate winner of the many prizes offered in the 2013 Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Draw.

    The draw is held every year with local sponsors offering customers a chance to enter the contest each time they visit one of the participating businesses.

    This year the draw was made Friday, Feb. 8 with the winning entry  drawn by a Java Blossom staff member, one of the draw sponsors.

 There were more than 500 entries in the contest. Rose had her name entered twice by her husband Al.

    He said he entered a draw form once at Diane’s Country Kitchen and once at Crossroads IDA.

    Al says winning the Valentine’s Day Sweet-heart Draw seems only appropriate because he and Rose will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary next month on March 25.
