Unsightly premises meeting set for Bruce Seniors Centre

An unsightly premises meeting has been set for Monday, Oct. 29 at the Bruce Seniors Centre starting at 7 p.m. The meeting is public and anyone can come and/or make a written or verbal presentation.

“I think things are progressing,” said Division 4 Councillor Barry Bruce, who made the motion for the meeting at Beaver County’s Oct 17 meeting. Earlier in the discussion, he stated he would have preferred to keep the meeting for local residents rather than “bog this down by trying to be so inclusive.”

However, council decided to open up the meeting for all county residents as there are such issues in many places of the county. In the end, a public announcement stated that: “Any person may attend the public meeting to make written or verbal presentation in support of or in opposition of any unsightly premise.”

At the county meeting, Bruce later clarified that “If there are people from Kinsella and others in the county dealing with unsightly premises they are welcome to come.”
