Festival of Trees event in Holden

The First Annual Festival of Trees, held in conjunction with the Holden Christmas Market and The Gallery, turned into an old-fashioned holiday event for everyone to enjoy.

“Thank you to everyone who came out to the Festival of Trees,” said Viking/Beaver FCSS Director Tracey Boast Radley. The event was a partnership between FCSS, Beaver County, The Gallery, Beaver County Community Adult Learning, and Tofield/Ryley Beaver West FCSS.

“We had some beautiful tree entries,” she said, which included Holden Municipal Library, Amber Kostyk, Holden Museum, Holden Post Office, The Gallery, Holden Lodge, Straight Line Fencing, Beaver County, and two little “Misfit Trees” from Rhys Bartel and Chloe Radley.

“The people voted and the Holden Municipal Library was the winner of a beautiful wooden Christmas tree strung to hold cards handcrafted by Toni Cheremshynski,” said Boast Radley.
