On October 12, 2017, the Wainwright RCMP were notified of damage to the front door of the Irma Convenience Store.

Once on scene, it was determined a pickup truck was used to smash through the front doors.

An annual campaign to try and increase the awareness of residents to the dangers of not securing property and personal possessions was held on Thursday, Oct. 5.

Cst. Cory Tourand with the Viking RCMP partnered with Viking Citizens on Patrol to bring awareness to citizens of Viking about the need for theft prevention.
