Word on the Street – Viking RCMP respond to male threatening to injure dog

On June 19, police received a complaint of a suspicious person standing on Highway 36 north of Viking. Police made a patrol but the person in question was no longer in the area.

This past weekend marked the 7th annual Vikings in the Streets Festival. Though the weather on Friday evening was not ideal, things cleared up on Saturday and festival attendees got to enjoy a full day of activities.

Word on the Street – Viking RCMP locate youth with outstanding warrants

On June 12, police received a report of a residential alarm in Viking.

Police made contact with the home owner who advised she had set the alarm off and there was no need for police to attend.

That afternoon, police received a complaint of an assault that had occurred the previous night at a residence in Viking. This matter is still under investigation.
