7th annual Vikings in the Streets Festival

This past weekend marked the 7th annual Vikings in the Streets Festival. Though the weather on Friday evening was not ideal, things cleared up on Saturday and festival attendees got to enjoy a full day of activities.

Young Country Singer to Perform in Viking

At this year’s Vikings in the Streets Festival, 15 year old Payton Klassen, a country music singer whose list of musical achievements far belies her years, will kick off the Main Stage Entertainment on Main Street with a mixture of covers and original songs.

Vikings in the Streets changes

Instead of focusing on raising funds, this year’s Vikings in the Streets festival will be geared towards bringing the community together to celebrate its Scandinavian heritage and, according to organizers, “just having fun.”

This is the second year for the festival is set for June 22, 23 and 24.
