Word on the Street

On Wednesday, March 14, police responded to a traffic incident west of Viking.  

    An eastbound semi tractor unit had a trailer tire blow causing debris to hit two oncoming vehicles, which caused damage to them.  A collision report was completed and all vehicles were allowed to carry on their way.

Despite a lack of snow  Viking School students had fun at the Winter Carnival. Elementary students took part in a variety of games.

Activities included jump rope, snowman building, dodgeball, soccer and more.

Irma’s Reagan Fischer  has been named to the second team of the All-Ivy teams at Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire.

Dartmouth’s 34 varsity sports teams compete in the Ivy League conference of the NCAA Division I.

Evan donating $13,320.00 to Val Figliuzzi, President of the Kids with Cancer Foundation, to go towards funding the Children's Therapeutic Music Program for the Stollery Hospital.

After four year old Evan Wallace spent four-and-a-half months in the Stollery Children’s Hospital waiting for a bone marrow match to be confirmed, the news that her family, along with their extended family, friends, and community have been waiting for has arrived.

“We knew we had a strong possible match before Christmas, and then a week after the New Year we were told we had two.
