On May 25, 15 graduates of Irma School took to the stage to receive their diplomas, share memories of their time at school, keeping with the theme “Every Mile a Memory,” and celebrate the start of a new chapter in their lives.
The lack of officers needed to fill the positions being vacated at the Viking RCMP detachment has RCMP Sergeant Jim Warren worried and town council has vowed to take whatever action it can to keep a detachment in Viking.

It may be surprising to learn that the Viking ship in Troll Park was made locally.

Viking Fire and Rescue will be hosting an open house on Saturday, May 26 between the hours of 1 and 5 p.m. as a way of increasing public awareness and bringing the community together.
Organizers hope the event may encourage community members’ interest in joining the volunteer department.
