Plans underway for Bruce Stampede 100th

In 2013 the Bruce Stampede will be celebrating its 100th Annual Stampede, making it one of the oldest consecutive running outdoor stampedes.

Members of the Bruce Stampede are putting plans together to celebrate the 100th Stam-pede in style.

Word on the Street discontinued

The popular weekly column “Word on the Street” has been discontinued by the Viking RCMP while the local detachment works its way through what Tofield/Viking detachment commander Sgt. Jim Warren is calling, “a re-organizing phase.”

During this time of change, Sgt. Warren says he will be available for regular updates on area happenings and looks forward to the time when the column can once again be available on a regular basis.

On June 1, 35 graduates of Viking School walked the stage at the Viking Carena Complex to receive their diplomas.

    For their celebration, the graduates chose the theme “Imagine your dreams, create your happiness, live your life.”
