Viking Town Council was told at its regular meeting Dec. 17 that Viking residents voted almost two to one in favour of the blowing of train whistles.
On December 18th, police received a complaint of a hit and run collision that had just occurred.
The complainant ad-vised a car had run into the back of his tanker truck and then drove away. Police were able to identify and locate the other driver involved and she was issued a violation ticket for Section 38(a) UHRRR.

Residents along Highway 16 are relieved to know that arrests have been made in relation to the death of a man found headless near Ranfurly in late October of this year.
