With the arrival of summer, activities in the Viking area are taking shape.

Aside from the regular summer activities such as golf and swimming, there are plans for any number
of community events such as a planned pancake breakfast at the Viking Museum on August 12 and the arrival of the Pink Yonder later that month.

This past weekend saw the Cloverlodge Stampede attract a good crowd. Although
the hot weather may have led to some of the onlookers seeking shade rather than
watching from the grandstands, the stampede was a success.
