Viking hires new CAO at latest meeting

The Town of Viking hired a new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) following a motion passed April 16 at council’s regular meeting.

Don McLeod will be taking over from interim CAO Al Harvey effective April 30.

Harvey has been acting CAO since the resignation of Jim Zaiter last August, and he also served in that capacity prior to Zaiter’s hiring in January 2016. Harvey will continue in his CAO position with the Highway 14 Regional Water Commission, and as a Lamont Town Councillor where he resides.
