Word on the Street

On Oct. 24, police received a complaint of a vehicle speeding through a construction zone on Highway 36.

The complainant was able to provide a license plate number so the registered owner was contacted by police.

The driver in the incident later called police to apologize for his actions and received a warning.

On Oct. 26, police received a complaint of a break and enter at a rural residence north of Viking.

The complainant advised culprits had entered his garage and stole a generator and numerous tools.
