Construction begins on 619 sanitary/water utility project in Viking
On Monday, Sept. 12 sanitary and water utility construction officially began on 51 Ave, part of Highway 619, in Viking.
The construction project, engineered by MPE Engineering and contracted to Bluebird Contracting, will upgrade the sanitary and water main infrastructure in the area.

On August 30 residents of Irma and area had the chance to learn and ask questions about the proposed Irma Wind Power Project at Regional Power’s open house.

Nearly a year ago in October, Dr. Bryan Nordstrom made the decision to retire and sell his Viking and Sedgewick Dental practice. Stepping in to the area was Dr. Ardakani, with his associate, Dr. Daniel.
Ardakani says he knew Dr. Nordstrom, and adds that the opportunity came just at a time when he was ready to start his own practice.

On Aug. 29, police received a complaint from a citizen who had received what he believed to be a fraudulent phone call from someone claiming to be with the Credit Bureau.
The caller advised him his credit card had been used out of country but he could hear laughter in the background so became suspicious and hung up.
