Word on the Street: VIKING RCMP REPORT NATION-WIDE WARRANT MISTAKEN ID
On Sept. 12, police received a complaint of a break and enter to a Quonset at a rural location south of Viking.
The complainant advised someone had cut the padlock on the building, entered it and stole a dirt bike that had been stored inside. Police have no suspects at this time.

On Sept. 13, police received information that a male subject with a Canada wide warrant was residing in Viking.

Donations to food bank aid with ‘record-shattering’ need for hampers
Viking and Holden Food Bank spokesperson Darren Anderson accepted two donations on behalf of the food bank on September 14.
These donations, pictured on Page 16, will help keep the food bank running in a month where it is being used more than ever.
