Cold Lake RCMP charge individual with sexual offences
On Feb. 1, 2025, Cold Lake RCMP received allegations regarding sexual offences involving two victims who were under the age of 18.
On Feb. 26, 2025, as a result of the investigation, officers arrested Darryl Vasseur, a 47-year-old resident of Cherry Grove, he has been charged with the following offences:
- Sexual Assault x3
- Sexual interference x3
- Invitation to sexual touching x3
- Sexual exploitation of a young person x3
- Corrupting children in the home x2
Darryl Vasseur was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was released on a Release Order. He is scheduled to appear in court on Mar. 12, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Cold Lake, Alta.
No further details will be provided in order to protect the identity of the victims, and the integrity of the investigation.
