This past week, current and previous staff, along with residents and special guests, helped Joyce Lawes celebrate 50 years of employment at what is now Viking Extendicare.
Joyce started her career with Blunts Nursing Home in Viking as a Dietary Aide when she was just 17-years-old.
She continued in that role as the home transitioned to Parkland Nursing Home, eventually taking on dual roles as Dietary Aide and Cook when the home was purchased by Extendicare Viking.
