Irma School Honour Band performs in Vancouver

  Irma Band  The Irma School Honour Band recently travelled to Vancouver, B.C. over the May long weekend with the Wainwright School Band.

The students, who range from Grade 9 to 12 put on two performances, attended a workshop at the University of British Columbia (UBC), and got to do some sightseeing and bonding.

    The band, made up of 34 students in total, 13 of them from Irma, along with Irma and Wainwright band teachers Michelle Caouette and Jenny Thompson and some parent supervisors took a bus all the way to Vancouver.

It may have been a long bus ride, but Irma band teacher Caouette says, “I think we made some memories that way.”
