Grace Sutter scares cat cheering for son Darryl’s 2nd Stanley Cup
When the Los Angeles Kings won their second Stanley Cup in three years on Friday, June 13, Kings’ Coach Darryl Sutter’s mom, Grace Sutter, said she cheered so loudly she scared the cat.
Mrs. Sutter, like many area residents, had the TV tuned to the action which saw the Kings defeat the New York Rangers at 14:43 of double overtime.
Mrs. Sutter was in the listening audience for all the games and during the fourth game which could have been the last game of the series, she sat tall (as tall as this little lady measures) in a big armchair in a friend’s home and cheered quietly, her eyes never leaving the screen.
