FUNDS RAISED FROM BRACELETS GOING TO CHARITY

Summer MacNeill

The creation of loom bracelets, made from colourful elastic bands, is a fad which is sweeping the nation, but eight year old Summer MacNeill, daughter of Stefanie and Graham MacNeill has looked beyond just the fun of bracelet making for a way to help others.

MacNeill is selling bracelets, rings and necklaces for the price of two dollars or a donation to raise money for the Stollery Children’s Hospital.

So far, she has raised $40.

She said that she hopes to raise lots of money to help kids who are sick, and will sell bracelets until her Bandaloom kit is out of bands, before making the donation.

She has wanted to do something to help kids in the hospital since she got her tonsils taken out and saw how many were there.
