B & E to residence in Viking: RCMP report

On May 12, police received a complaint of an attempted break and enter at a residence in Viking. The complainant advised there was damage to a window frame and the back door but it did not appear as though entry was gained. 

    The investigation into this matter is continuing.

    On May 13, police received a complaint of mischief. On investigation police found the windshield of a motor-home was damaged.  Police are continuing to follow up on this matter.

    That afternoon while on patrol, police observed a male using a cell phone while driving a motor vehicle.

    A traffic stop was initiated.  Alcohol was found in the vehicle and both the driver and his passenger were minors.

    The driver was issued a ticket for distracted driving and both he and the passenger were charged with minor possessing alcohol.
