Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigate suspicious death in Goodfish Lake

On April 11, at approximately 6:37 p.m., St. Paul RCMP responded to a report of an injured male at a residence on Main Road in Goodfish Lake. Upon arrival, RCMP located a male with multiple gunshot wounds. Life saving measures were initiated, but the male succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased by EMS.

At this time, the circumstances around the death have been deemed suspicious. The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken carriage of the investigation with the assistance of St. Paul RCMP and St. Paul Forensic Identification Services.

The 28 year-old deceased male has been identified and the autopsy is scheduled for April 15, 2024, at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton.

RCMP are seeking public assistance in this investigation.
