27 apply for CAO job – council briefs

There have been 27 applications received for the Town of Viking Chief Administrative Officer position according to a report given by Councillor Judy Acres at a recent meeting of the Viking-Beaver Family and Community Support Services (FCSS).

       
Acres said the applicants have been short-listed and she is hopeful that a selection will be made in the near future.

Although there has been at least one water break, Viking town council heard there have been few maintenance concerns in the past month.

Viking’s Director of Maintenance Kevin O’Neill attended the regular meeting of council on Monday, March 17 and told council in his monthly report that there had been a number of frozen sewer lines to deal with  but that, in general, things were in hand.
