Lloydminster RCMP lay charges after locating male on Canada wide warrants
On Jan. 27, 2025, Lloydminster RCMP’s General Investigations Section, with assistance from the Saskatchewan Crime Reduction Team and Lloydminster Police Dog Services, located and arrested a male wanted on a Canada-wide warrant in connection with an extensive fraud investigation in Saskatoon, Sask., and an in-depth investigation into allegations of financial crimes including identity fraud, forgery and misrepresentation, fraudulent activities targeting individuals and businesses across multiple provinces.
Layne Antosh (41), a resident of Saskatoon, was arrested without incident on Jan. 9, 2025 by RCMP in the area of Lloydminster.
Antosh was charged with fraud over $5000, identity fraud, forgery, failure to comply with release order conditions, failure to comply with probation conditions, possession of prohibited weapon x2, in addition, to his 10 warrants from Saskatoon City Police and 8 warrants from Corman Park, Sask..
Antosh was brought before a Justice of the Peace, where he was remanded with a court date of Jan. 30, 2025, in the Alberta Court of Justice in Lloydminster.
