Vermilion RCMP responds to fatal collision on Hwy 619 due to poor visibility

On August 15, 2024, at approximately 7:30 a.m., Vermilion RCMP were dispatched to a single vehicle collision, on Highway 619, involving a truck.

As a result, Highway 619 was closed at Range Road 80 to Range Road 83.

It was reported by drivers that there was zero visibility in the area due to weather conditions and driving was not advised.

Tragically, the driver of the vehicle, a 36-year-old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Vermilion RCMP extends our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased during this time.
