St. Paul RCMP seek public assistance in assault and robbery

St. Paul RCMP is seeking public assistance in identifying a male suspect after an elderly male was assaulted and robbed at a business located at 5029 50th avenue in St. Paul.

On April 27, 2024, a male reported to St. Paul RCMP that he had been assaulted and robbed by an unknown male. The victim reported that he was in the back alley to a local St. Paul business when three indigenous males physically grabbed him then took his backpack and ran away eastbound. The backpack contains personal Sri Lankan identification and currency belonging to the victim.

The male suspect is described as:

  • 20-40 years old
  • Believed to be Indigenous
  • Was wearing a black hoodie
