Investigation leads to recovery of stolen golf cart and clubs
On May 26, 2020 Viking RCMP received a report of a break in at the Viking golf course.
Surveillance cameras on site caught a male suspect driving a truck and flat deck trailer break into multiple golf cart sheds and steal a golf cart and clubs worth approximately $18,000.
With the assistance of the Central Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit and Two Hills RCMP police were able to determine a suspect believed to be responsible for the break in.
On June 18, members from the Central Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Leduc, AB. During the warrant execution police located the golf cart and clubs stolen from the Viking golf course weeks earlier.
Jason Emter (45) has been charged with Break and Enter to commit Theft, as well as two counts of Failing to Comply with a Release Order. Jason Emter was remanded into custody and will appear in court again on July 9 in Leduc.
