Thanks for helping us Fill the Tree!

Once again, the local community showed its generosity when it comes to helping out local programs provide food and gifts to those in need over the Christmas holidays.

Weekly Review employee Kennedy Labreche holds the box filled with the funds raised for this year’s Fill the Tree campaign. This is the second year for The Weekly Review’s Fill the Tree campaign to raise money for the Christmas Hamper Program and the local Food Bank. Funds raised this year were $1,554 which will be split evenly between the Christmas Hamper Program and the Food Bank.

This is just the second year that The Weekly Review has sponsored the Fill the Tree campaign, and people were coming into the office starting mid-November to contribute.

In all, $1,554 was raised and the funds will be evenly distributed ($777 each) between the Community Christmas Hamper Campaign, managed by Viking/Beaver FCSS, and the Viking Holden and Area Food Bank.

FCSS Director Tracey Boast Radley was grateful for the donation ad campaign effort. “Viking/Beaver FCSS would like to thank the Viking Weekly Review team for collecting funds to support the Community Christmas Hamper Campaign for Holden, Bruce, Viking, Kinsella, and East Rural Beaver County for a second year now,” she said.
