NAIT Ooks’ Torey Hill chosen for ACAC All Canadian Award
At the basketball banquet during provincials earlier in March, Torey Hill found out she was chosen by the Alberta Colleges Athletic Council (ACAC) for the All Canadian Award, which is “based upon performance and contribution to basketball and the team,” according to Hill, and recognizes the top 10 players across Canada. 
This is the second time Hill has been chosen for this prestigious award, as she received it for the 2014-2015 season she played with the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) Ooks as well.

This past weekend was a great success for our small town dance club.
The dancers belonging to Viking Dance Inspirations, attended the dance competition More Vibe in St. Albert and came away with numerous trophies, medals and awards.

Word on the Street: Scammers calling Viking for gold investment
On March 14, a citizen attended the detachment to report he had been receiving phone calls from a male in California requesting he invest money in gold on the stock market.
Fortunately, the complainant did not provide any personal or financial information to the caller so did not become a victim in this matter.
