Safety concerns expressed about new mid-block crosswalk at Viking Seniors Centre

Viking’s interim CAO has expressed concerns about the safety of a cross walk put in at the Seniors Drop-In Centre.

In his report to council Sept. 18, Harvey urged that some research was needed to determine if the mid-block cross walk was safe.

“I was informed of the intention to do a curb cut across from the Seniors’ Drop-In Centre to facilitate the mid-block crosswalk,” Harvey stated. “I asked that the project be held in abeyance until some research has been done.
