Viking gymnast and teammates compete in Minnesota

Jorja Andreson a local gymnast from Viking who trains with the Wainwright Gymnastics Club recently attended the Peppermint Twist meet hosted by the Twin City Twisters in the Minneapolis Convention Centre in Minnesota. Jorja along with seven teammates and two coaches (her mom and Mandi McMann) headed out on Dec. 1.

Last season the team travelled to Chicago, and this year decided to try out Minnesota. Jorja’s coach Mandi is originally from Minnesota and attended this meet when she was growing up and training in Minnesota.

Jorja and her teammates were eight girls of the over 1,900 that attended the meet from all over the US and Canada.

For the Wainwright girls this is really early to start competing, as they don’t start competing in Alberta until the end of January, but the girls have been training hard since…
