Open house held for proposed Irma Wind Power Project
On August 30 residents of Irma and area had the chance to learn and ask questions about the proposed Irma Wind Power Project at Regional Power’s open house.
The event, which saw a steady stream of people walking through starting at 5 p.m., was held in the Irma Curling Club. Regional Power had Subject Matter Experts on hand to answer questions about all aspects of the project.
There were also poster boards all over the room displaying maps, diagrams, and timelines related to the project for people to read.
Regional Power’s Vice President of Development and Operations James Carter said the reaction of those visiting the open house was “very positive overall.”
