Construction begins on 619 sanitary/water utility project in Viking
On Monday, Sept. 12 sanitary and water utility construction officially began on 51 Ave, part of Highway 619, in Viking.
The construction project, engineered by MPE Engineering and contracted to Bluebird Contracting, will upgrade the sanitary and water main infrastructure in the area.
Town Foreman Kevin O’Neill said the construction will be limited to certain areas of the street at once. As of Monday, Sept. 12, work is occurring from 45 Street on to 49 Street. There is a detour in place around this section of highway.
