Viking Golf Course celebrates 25 years
The Viking Golf Club celebrated the 25th anniversary of the golf course on Aug 6.
The day was well-attended, with many visitors coming out to enjoy hot dogs and pop before heading out for a round of golf.
Pres Winter served as emcee for the event, introducing various other speakers to bring congratulations. These included County Reeve Kevin Smook, and Viking town councillor Ellen Lefsrud.
Viking’s Deputy Mayor Jason Ritchie was unable to attend the event but sent greetings and congratulations, writing that “It is amazing to be part of such a wonderful and supportive community that looks towards future generations.”
Three Golf Club Presidents were on hand during the event, including the president of the Golf Club during the construction of the new course George Ritchie, previous president Brad Majeski, and current president Carter Oakes.
