Row by Row project bringing quilting tourism to area
When Betty Ganie, avid quilter and owner of Creative Klutter in Irma heard about a quilting project called Row by Row, in 2015, she decided to participate.
The project encourages avid quilters to travel to participating quilting stores throughout Canada and the USA, where they can step in the door and ask for a free quilting pattern.
The ultimate goal is to put a number of the Row by Row patterns together and make a unique quilt.
Each quilt must contain at least eight of the themed quilt squares.
This year’s theme is called ‘Home Sweet Home.’
Each participating store is charged with designing and creating the quilt square in a specific size with either a vertical or horizontal aspect.
