Irma Tigers take AA-Major championship in Illinois

   The Irma Tigers Men’s Fastball Team earned the North American Fastpitch Association (NAFA) World Series win for the second year in a row.

    “They won it last year, and they won it in AA,” said Assistant Coach Lorne Firkus.

    He noted that once a title has been won, the team must progress to the next division in the tournament, meaning that the team was ineligible to compete at the AA level.

    This year, the win was in the AA-Major league.

    The team travelled to Rock Island, Illinois, in mid-August for the whirlwind weekend tournament.
