Irma Summerspiel celebrates 30 years

  The Irma Summerspiel held its opening ceremonies on Wednesday, July 27 in the curling rink.

    The evening’s events began with two bagpipers parading across the ice, followed by representatives from the participating curling teams.

    Mayor Dennis Fuder began with some information.

    “This year Irma celebrates 114 years, and the Summerspiel celebrates 30 years,” he said.
