Holden resident wins trip to Olympics in Rio de Janeiro
The trip of a lifetime for Linda Haugan of Holden started with a trip to the gas station and ended with a breathtaking view of the closing ceremonies of the Olympic games in Rio.
Haugan stopped at a Petro-Canada cardlock station months ago, and noticed a sign stating you could win a trip to the Olympics just by sending in a text. So each time she stopped at the station, she texted in an entry to the contest.
In April, she got a phone call telling her she was the winner of the all-expenses-paid trip.
