Collectors far and wide attend antique tractor auction near Viking

After 20 years in the auction business, Dwayne Dunkle from Dunkle Auctions said he had never seen anything like it.

Dunkle conducted a very special auction on Saturday, Aug. 13 about 20 miles north of Viking, for Norman and Judy Erickson.

For sale would be Norman’s collection of restored antique tractors, ranging from the very rare 1938 John Deere ‘D’, one of just three remaining in the world, to the tiny John Deere LA 7hp tractor, the smallest John Deere tractor made.

Erickson has been collecting and restoring tractors for nearly two decades.
