Word on the Street: Viking RCMP get complaint of fire scare
On May 2, police received a complaint of a possible fire northeast of Viking. Police made a patrol and located the scene.
It was found to be a controlled burn with people on site containing the fire. There was no need for police involvement.
That evening, police received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle abandoned behind a barn at a rural location west of Bruce. Members attended the scene and are following up on this matter.
A short time later, police were advised of a suspicious male on foot at a rural location west of Bruce. The male was located and spoken to by police and later released.

On May 3, police received a complaint of a possible impaired driver. A patrol was made and the vehicle in question was located.
The driver was spoken to and did not show any signs of impairment so he was warned about his driving pattern and allowed to carry on his way.
