Students participate in Safe Driving Education course
The Beaver County Traffic Safety Network, made up of the Viking/ Beaver FCSS, Beaver County Peace Officers, AHS, Tofield FCSS, and Becky Oxton, who is the regional traffic safety representative with the Alberta Government, held a Safe Driving Education session on May 13.
A grant was received through Alberta Traffic Safety fund for the sessions at Viking, Ryley, and Tofield high schools and training was delivered through the Canadian Traffic Education Centre (CTEC). The course involved an hour of in-class time at the FCSS office, followed by in-vehicle sessions at the Viking Airport. Students drove their own vehicles and a driving simulator.
