Word on the Street: Viking RCMP report numerous break-ins

RCMP are investigating a series of break-ins which occurred early this month.

Viking RCMP Corporal Rick Halter told the Weekly Review that on March 2 break-ins were reported which took place on the night of March 1.

Viking Foods, Viking Train Station, the construction trailer located near the train station, and two area farmyards were all targets of vandals.

Corporal Halter said bakery items were stolen from Viking Foods and a number of smaller items such as hand-held radios were taken from the other locations by thieves. He said a firearm was taken from one of the farm sites.
