HELIPORT HONOURS GEORGE H. RODDICK

Viking’s new heliport will be known as the George H. Roddick Heliport.

Alberta Minister of Health Sarah Hoffman recently affirmed the proposed name put forth by the Viking Health Foundation trustees, making the name official.

The trustees proposed the name stating that the late George Roddick was the champion of constructing a new heliport at the Health Centre.

The new heliport at the Health Centre will accommodate STARS Air Ambulance newer and larger fleet of helicopters.

The anticipated completion date for heliport construction was originally the late fall of 2015 however that date has been moved to next spring. .. for more see the Nov. 17/15 Weekly Review
