PROVINCIAL TOURNAMENT DRAWS CROWD
The Viking Carena Complex was bustling with activity all weekend as the Bantam C Provincial Championship tournament played out.
The Viking Gas Kings served as host for the four day event which saw hundreds of people fill the stands and cheer as the teams vied for first place.
In the end, the the St. Paul Canadians emerged the tournament winner. The Canadians faced off against the 3 C’s Bantam in the final game of the tournament on Sunday evening and captured first place with a hard fought 5 to 4 victory.
The tournament got underway on Thursday, March 12. The St. Paul Canadians defeated the Westlock Warriors by a score of 7 to 0 in the first game of the series. Later that evening the Viking Gas Kings took to the ice and were defeated by the Ponoka Moose 10 to 1.
